Garland’s longest course is a true championship test of golf.

Playing 7,200 yards from the tips, Monarch is all the golf course you will ever want. Very large green complexes and wide fairways allow you to ‘grip it and rip it’, although the northern Michigan Forest lurks not far off.

Monarch is a traditional layout with an excellent blend of length and challenging shorter opportunities. Greens are well-bunkered on most holes. There is also a great mix of left and right doglegs.

Some assume the name of the course refers to its length, it’s actually named for the towering white pines that adorn the fairways. Monarch is also home to Garland’s resident bald eagles; the sight of which will enhance any round.
